Message from the pastor

We are living in unprecedented times.  The past few years have shown us that no human, country, culture or race is immune to poverty, fear sickness and even death.   Relationships have been strained. Loneliness, depression and anxiety are at an all-time high.  The World Health Organization (WHO) reported in March 2022 that there has been a 25% increase in global prevalence of anxiety and depression attributed to the Covid 19 Pandemic.

It seems as it were, that we have been robbed of so much.  Relationships have been strained because of the many months of inability to come together.  One person shared that; “it felt like I moved without being able to say goodbye to my friends”, and true to form many people were unable to say goodbye to their loved ones as they passed away in healthcare facilities holding the hand of strangers in the form of compassionate healthcare workers.

Still, the world appears to go on and some wonder if anything will change.  When will we get back to “Normal”? As believers in Jesus, we do not profess to know everything about getting back to normal or what that may look like in the future.  What we believe for sure is that the future is in the hands of God and as we navigate a difficult world, we, as a church, promise to walk side by side with you as we heal from the challenges of what a broken world offers.

We have found Jesus to be our friend and we would like to introduce or reintroduce you to that safe space where you can grow in friendship with us and Jesus.  Come enjoy food and fellowship and participate in the healing of a broken world with us.
